:( found a cool 300ZX...

well, since this is general discussion, and I'm not in the politics or religion mood...

As some might recall I had an '84 300zx turbo auto a while back... It needed a little more work than I felt like messing with, plus it was an auto. I always said if I could find a nice turbo 5-spd I'd see about getting another...

Well, a half mile from the house there is an 88 special edition for sale. White with black interior, factory Recaro seats, 5-spd, t-tops, turbo... Body needs a little work, as does the interior, but it fired right up, and idled very well... I stopped by this morning, but didn't have much time to look it over...

I'd really like to pick it up, but have too many vehicles as it is, and a house to build... If it weren't for the house I'd probably sell the Dodge, and see about this Z. I'd still have the Camino for light hauling and pulling my trailer...

Oh, well, just felt like telling someone. There's no real car guys here at work...

BTW, here's my old Z...

Why not sell the Camino and pick up the Z? Use the Dudge for hauling duties..

Because I'd rather have the Camino than the Dodge, and I've put quite a bit of work into the Camino. How many decent Caminos do you still running around? There are at least 2 Dodges almost identical to mine in our small town of around 1000 people, and 2 or 3 others close by to where I work...

BTW, I'm pretty sure this is an 88 300ZX, SS/SE, but in better shape than the one I found:

Gotta love the Z's! I personally like the 200 series Z's best.

I like the 1990 - 1996 run. They quit making them right before I got a good paying job.

My second love (Supra Turbo) was still out of my price range. ($44,000) in 1997.

That's still my favorite Z, but a clean twin turbo is still more than I want to pay for a used and most often abused car...

My dad had a 280Z in college (he is 47 now) He said it was a "quick" car for it's erra now all he will buy is European or Ford and never go back to a japanese car.

Gotta love those turbos though. Dad had a low mile/mint condition 1992 Porsche 911 turbo. Very Fun!
