It was on NBC twice a couple years ago, once during "American Dreams" (now cancelled!), and once during something else.

Maybe not all 5 minutes that would cost so much. Just cut out some of the middle where it gets kinda slow.

And Craz3d, you def. need sound

It doesn't need sound... it needs about 4 minutes and 30 seconds cut from it to make it air-able. Touching, but no TV station on the planet would air a freakin' 5 minute commercial. Unless it was in the 3-5AM slot between a RONCO rotisserie and Carlton Sheets Real Estate seminar. I want the last 5 minutes of my life back. Plus the time it took to write this rant.

and that 5 minutes would have went back to posting some other useless rant.
i want my 1 minute back that i wasted reading your post .

i know ur rants are funny sometimes, but lay off this one.
this is a good commercial.
it was a special that was aired only for that tv show, and im CERTAIN it would be very easy to cut it down to a minute long to get the idea across.
i might chop it up and put one together that is a minute long, to see how it would come out.
it is a class act to have a commercial like this honoring our troops.

I said it was touching... but waaaaayy to long. I would need to actually be paired down a 45 second spot. That would make it a really long commerical. Most are 15 or 30 seconds. Even a 45 second spot would lose the lemming consumers interest and the channel flipping would begin after the first time they saw it.

Sure its a nice little tribute, but keep it on the web and off the airwaves.

And while you may think its a class act, its really more like a shameless marketing ploy to push mustangs. Much classier ways for a corporation to support our troops and NOT push the product.

PS - My rant(s) are all hilarious and spot-on. Well time for me to go, be sure to tip the waitstaff!

That's a really good commercial, does anyone else feel just a little more pride about owning a Ford?

Yeah, it does.

I like the F-150 commercial better where the guy restores his dad's old truck and pulls it up to his dads house behind his new FX4. His dad points to the old truck on the trailer and says "That looks like my old truck." His son throws him the keys and says "Now it's your new truck."

Favorite Ford truck commercial ever.

Actually FORD GOT IT CORRECT.....After growing up around Fort Benning I can honestly say that a SOLDIERS automobile is a very important part of their life. A lot of the guys I knew all had muscle cars and most were old 67-70 mustangs/camaros. A lot of those cars were from when their dad was in the army.... So yeah I'd say this commercial is pretty close. Sure not everyone wants the mustang but since thats FORDS muscle car that is what they pushed.
