Guys weekend ideas... East TX, SW AR, or NW LA?
Alright guys, especially you TX and LA guys. A group of guys probably 10 or so are planning to get together for a little guys weekend. I have heard discussions of cabins but am not really sure what to look for. I have looked at a few websites, but thought that someone here might have a great idea.
This trip is for sometime around September-October or so.
We probably will want to:
drink, play golf, drink, play cards, drink, watch some college football, drink some more.
Thanks in advance for any ideas you can come up with and remember that I am open to anything as nothing is set in stone at all.

Do the same thing I do every May long with a bunch of people, get three or four campsites (where we set up its actually off the official campground) well away from anyone and go nuts. Cheaper than a cabin, and no damage to pay for, last year that was a damn good thing I dont think a single lawn chair survived the weekend

Wife and I stayed in a cabin for a weekend, but they aren't for large groups.
Here's the website: Deer Lake Cabins
If your going to have several people in your party, you could always have a crawfish "fry". They can be a blast.
If you and your party are into camping:
Purtis Creek Lake
They have a few camp sites that are around on the backside of the lake and are all natural. Nothing man made. It's a long hump tp get to them, but worth the trip.
That's a start.
We've actually looked into Deer Lake Cabins and that is an option so far. Thanks for the recommendations and hopefully we can actually get something together.
It seems like every year people back out at the last minute due to work/family commitments
