E85

Hey,

To begin my first post, yes, I'm an idiot.

Loaned my '04 Heritage edition to help a young lady move. When she went to fill it up, began pumping E85 "for flexible fuel vehicles" only.

She noticed after about 5 gallons and stopped.

Anyone know how screwed I am?

Can my "little buddy" be saved?

Thanks in advance

Grover

You actually have the E85 fuel in your area? I have yet to ever see any pump marked for Flex fuel.

Welcome to the board, this is a great place for knowledge. I don't think it will hurt it but just for a little while maybe. Think of it as someone putting mixed gas for lawn equipment into something like a riding mower that uses straight gas. It may run bad for a while but once you get it all out, it will probably run great.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it will do any long term damage. I don't know enough about the E85 to know how it works.

Maybe someone else will chime in their input

Thanks Paul.

I don't think we have E85 here, but she's moving to Lafayette, IN and apparently they have it there...

...and its low, low price was so exciting she couldn't concentrate enough to read the big fat warning sign on the pump nozzle...

Post this is the "Engine section" and you will probably get more information from some peoplev Some people don't always come to the GD section.
