Stay away from CA unless they start you over 150k. Way too expensive to live out there, plus everyone's a little crazy
Atlanta is a pretty good place, not a huge fan of the traffic and all around there, but it's a fun city. CO would be a blast too, good microbrews all over the place!

PS. Be sure to get the most out of your travels while interviewing. Double Crown with a splash of coke got me through many a flight
