Thumbs up Whats up everyone?

Hey everyone, im new to the site (and to fords) just thought id show off the truck and see what u guys (and gals) think of it.

I sold my jeep last week (this is my second vehicle) and i got to tell you, its a huge jump up for the same price. better mpg, ride, power. i have a new respect for ford

Great site by the way!

1996 F-150 XLT
4.9L I-6
4speed with overdrive (5 gears in all, is it called a 4speed with overdrive or a 5 speed?)

Got it on friday of last week, havnt washed her yet so shes a little dirty ill get detailed pics later on

That's a nice looking truck .. I see you have two tanks, what's the capacity?

Thanks, i like them too. (thats why i bought this one as opposed to the 98 i was looking at)

I actually have no idea what the capacity of the tanks are i filled the front one up (for 47 bucks ) at around 17 gallons. so im assuming that its around 20 but idk

Very good!.. probably 20 in front and 12-15 in the reserve.. just remember to switch back and forth, you don't want a reserve tank full of bad gas

lol, i probably will only go near the rear tank just to see the capacity (fill up both tanks and run them both dry) after a while paying 85-100 bucks to fill both would get really depressing

LOL.. one of the "benefits" of my Texas Edition XLT Screw is a 30 gallon tank.. yeah I know it's all the same, a gallon is a gallon, but like you said, pumping $80 into the thing is always a bit of a shock..

actually, this isnt the worst that my wallet has had to deal with, when gas was around 3 bucks a gallon last summer, my jeep had an aftermarket 32 gal tank and i would commonly spend up to 120 bucks to fill er up.
