Inherited *A LOT* of Vinyl Records -- What To Do With Them?

I just inherited about 100 vinyl records. They are all vintage rock and I'm pretty sure that I'm sitting on a few of the more rare variety...

What does one do with these things? I don't want to keep them but, by the same token, they're not goign to the Salvation Army.

Does anyone know of a service or similar where I can divest? Ebay really isn't atop my option list -- FYI.

Haul a few of the ones you think are worth the most to a local record store (the longer it's been in biz the better).. see what they have to say then add 20% if you want to sell them yourself.. I love vinyl myself, have maybe 300 LP's, had at least that many more before I stupidly sold them at garage sales..
get an idea what they're worth then just google "vintage vinyl LP's".. you'll find buyers

You can try craigslist, and try to sell them in your area...

Compile the list, research the value, then e-bay, craigslist.org or your local classifieds!!!

Then buy me lunch.

Thanks guys.... Smoke... I'll email you a spreadsheet.

BTW, I'm not looking to try to sell them here.... that would be against the rules that I'm held accountable to as well...

"Let's say I had a bunch of vinyl records and I wanted to sell them to a bunch of guys that had F-150 or other F-series vehicles. Where would one go to sell them? Oh yeah, my email address is XYZ@XYRSTLMOP.com. Feel free to email me to ask what I probably have."

Or...

Here's a link to my ebay auction!

or....

I've listed about 100 vinyl records in the classifieds. My phone number is 555-555-1212. Call me if you have questions...

or...

Are there any vintage vinyl collectors out there? If so, email me. I've got a slew of records that may be available for sale.

or...

I know posting classifieds in the forums are against site rules but, I don't care. I have a bunch of records for sale and am looking to sell them CHEAP! Email me!

or...

THIS IS NOT A CLASSIFIED AD: I have a bunch of records that I'll give away for $500 in shipping costs. Contact me.

I could go on and on....

play them !!!
you can pick up a turn table on ebay or a brand new one at crutchfield.
analog music sounds much better than digital music in my opinion. its much more "full" and has more bass.
i play my albums quite frequently.

see ya - oaw

also - you could convert them to digital files. i have done this too. then you can make them into CDs or listen on your computer.

Rockpick appreciate everything you do here.

I always figured when I sold my truck I'd list it in the Classifieds here.
However, I wouldn't break any rules out of respect for you and the entire organization.

That's what I did.

BYW, that # you gave doesn't get you. I got some oriental chick asking if I wanted a "massage". Do you know anything about this?

Hint: Ask for Ming Li... she's definitely the best.
