Drive
Warning:
Although not a spoiler in the specific sense, it mentions aspects of the show.
Well, I'm 75% of the way in and so far it blows . . .
plus, while location issues often bug me, this is about the worst. They are supposed to be on the Florida Coast, driving from the Keys, to Jupiter, to Cape Canaveral. And what is the background ???? Southern California chaparral and the very TALL San Gabriel Mountains all over the place. While I would not expect people to know specifically that the highway shots are on the as of yet unfinished 210 Fwy extension, the landscape is about as "UN-Florida-like" as you can get.
Even the bad writing isn't as distracting as the locations.
Its from the "Lost", "Alias" and "24" school of writing/production . . . wherein the writers started wtih an interesting idea and never thought it through. Interesting vehicle (no pun intended) but not enough to carry a story . . . so they throw in a bunch of melodrama learning about the past of the wide range of ensemble characters through the use of flashbacks (really popular these past few years) and blah, blah, blah . . . and as the weeks go on, it becomes more apparent that they are making it up as they go along without any real direction etc., etc., etc.
I think this is the only two hours I watch . . .
but let's see how this episode ends . . .
nope . . . that's gonna be it.
