Easter road trip...

My son and i are heading out at 6:00 a.m. to virginia... I got nearly a 10 hour drive. Going to see what this fx4 with the trailer tow pkg. and my Troyer tow tunes, intake and exhaust can do. I'm going to stay with F150Truckin for the night. Then Monday morning i'm going to pick up my FEMA trailer at Ft. Pickett, VA. I hope the wind dies down, or i'm going to have one heluva time bringing a 33 ft Travel trailer home. See ya'll on Tuesday or so. Have a Happy Easter and don't eat to many eggs...

Well, I made it back about 1:30 A.M. this morning. Too fast and furious, but one heluva time. I must say this first, F150Truckin is the Man... He's got just about every toy that a man needs. Remote this, remote that. And a really nice boxer pup! I want to thank Tim again for putting my son and i up for the night.
We'll the truck ran well, it pulled a 6620 lb. trailer like it was butter. Can't say too much about fuel mileage.... Got 15mpg on the way there with no trailer and hammer down, on the way back, well it was 7.3 mpg.... But all in all, my road trip was worth it. The trailer turned out to be a real good buy. It just needs a good cleaning and some interior repairs, but everything works and i'm happy. What a big relief after shelling out $8560.00 on a blind purchase.

Yes, I like my toys....The higher the tect, the better...LOL
Glad to help and thank you for paying for dinner at the steak house.. 7.3 is not bad for the weight and being a square barn on wheels... I would have bet on around 6 to 6.5...

I'm sure glad that i had Troyer's tow tune for the ride back , it sure made going over the mountains alot of fun. Several Truckers commented how well i was pulling them.
