Photo Hackers...opinions, thoughts, etc...

First of all, I'm bored. It's Easter weekend, and I'm stuck in the house cause it's snowing? I dunno. Everyone else is blaming global warming.

Anyway, I'm working on a sig for someone and I have a lighting problem. So to speak. There's a glare on the windshield, and without some sort of light source, where is it coming from? Nothing else in the sig would make that glare, so I'm trying to balance it. Know what I mean? See the glare on the windshield?

Without lighting:

I added light:

How does the one without the light look?

Does the added light look cheesy?

Thoughts?

Input Appreciated.

Impressive attention to detail, most profesional designers wouldn't have noticed!

Well the problem is, it's obvious the glare on the windshild is from the sun, no man made light CG or powered eaither one can accurately replicate the sun and nothing can compete with it.

The one with the light added actually draws attention to the glare. Unfortunately there is really not much you can do with it.

I would just mess with the brightness/contrast on the hood and windshield of the truck to reduce the glare look a little.

I just did this quick to give you an idea...

I did that in 3 seconds and I think it makes it look a little nicer. Might want to try just spendng some time and doing that better, and I think it would make it look nicer. Probably need to mess with the color a little on the hood, maybe the windshield too.
I would try to stay away from adding a 'light source' also. If you do, just do VERY little, less than you added in the 2nd sig you posted up.

Looks like your doing some good work Jamz. Did you every get photoshop?

Thanks Matt.

I'm done with it, and I hope he likes it. I left the bight burst of light in it to help give the glare on the truck some meaning.
houghts?

I have another one to make after this one.

Thanks man. Yea, I have photoshop, but I just can't get used to it. I gave it about a 3 month trial run, but I just feel more comfortable with Paintshop.

New truck, eh? BRB

Nice choice.

On the lighting of the truck, if you look closely, you can see a cool glare shining off the hood over into the grill.

I wanted to take advantage of that.

If I wasn't on this crappy monitor at home, I'd be able to actually tell a difference in the pictures.
