ladies (and men i guess) i need your advice
ok, just to let you know, i already know her prom dress color and what it looks like.
When i went to ask her, i went to her house. Unfortunately, her mom answered the door and invited me in. I had hoped to make it a 5 min max thing....however, after i asked and she said yes, i had to meet her mom and her dad. We talked about random topics and her mom told me her dress was pink. Then i just asked what it looked liked .....and acted like i understood
anyways we talked for like 30 mins...and then her mom told us to go watch tv. so after about an hour altogether i told them i need to get going cause i had do some stuff since it was getting dark.
I am just glad the dad didnt answer the door. The whole thing was awkward for me.
(actually, i went to the wrong house, because our school directory had the wrong address listed...i am lucky no one came to the door)
also, i guess i could say she has a smaller frame....so i dont know if go-carts would be a good idea....since it usually involves a lot of ramming and getting turned around while sitting in the hardest seat imaginable. I think i might just try a movie or bowling. probably a movie since it would be some talking on the way there and then maybe go get some coffee (starbucks is really popular around here) or maybe sonic just to hang out afterwards. Not too much talking involved...but enough to help get rid of the awkwardness.
oh did i mention she drives a bmw?

Sounds like you have a nice little plan! The movie should be left for the thrid or fourth date.....IMO just something I've learned over the years.
Make sure to ask open ended questions to keep the conversation rolling.
Good luck, have fun & don't forget your rain coat....

You have the time together to be not awkwardly sitting there not talking, and then afterwards you have something to talk about...which can grow into favorite movies/medias/etc.
Movies are pretty awesome dates I think

My son has always had girl friends. But not many dates. He has a steady girl now and I figure he hasn't been out on more than a couple of "dates" so far. She works on weekends and he is home from school every 2 weeks. Usually he calls her and says he is going to the craft store for art supplies, does she want to go? Of course she does. It's just a good way to hang out and spend time together without the stress of a "date". Then he does the "are you hungry" deal and they go have a dinner. Still it's not a "date", but they spend all evening together.
Then he brings her to our house for the rest of the evening and they hang out here. Or sometimes they go to her parents place.
Pretty slick for a college kid with not much money to spend on a "date".
