Nice bike Ya you should be careful some should own bikes and others not.I am one that should not.My first was a 600 katana and i said i was going to be easy too. That lasted about a day and it had already seen 120mph on the 2day.Hell after a weak i was driving it about 145mph in the dark and that is a funny feeling when you can't really see much.
The bad is want another one and am thinking a 900RR so if i get it consider me a dead man
Good luck w/ the bike

Beautiful. I had a blue '04 R6 with a Yoshi pipe but sold it...too many close calls

Before that I had a '02 CBRF4i, then a '03 CBR600rr. I loved all 3 bikes by IMO Yamaha's are the sexiest

Thanks for all the nice reply's guys. I enjoy seeing pics of all your rides and hearing about your experiences on them. I took it out for about a 40 mile ride today and I love it! Last summer I had an 03 ninja 600rr and this yamaha is much more comfortable and has a little more get up. I feel i'm a sensible rider, and I always ride like someone is going to pull out in front of me ( which they seem to do every 5 seconds). If I can get all these old farts off the road in their huge cars i'd be in good shape

Thats a Bad **** bike!

Looks awesome too!

If I could just figure out how to haul the 300+ lbs of camera gear on it then I'd buy one tomarrow. Probably a cruiser since it appears I'm driving 3-4 hours or more each day with this new job.

I thought for sure I'd get a bunch of hell from the Ford die-hards on this site about buying a Honda bike. After all, I do like reliability, no oil leaks, and the extra $10k in my pocket which is the price difference between mine and a Softail. Sorry to steal your thread Missouri_FX4.

nice bike!
What does the drive by wire throttle feel like?

I'm getting ready to get a GSXR 750 but, I'm waiting for the snow to go and the weather to warm up.

honestly you can't even tell a difference from a throttle cable. I found out that it had it a day after buying it and never would have known by ridding it. very responsive and crisp feeling.

my friend as a new 06 black yamaha r1, they are the best "all around" bikes you can buy! I really love it but my friend is 18/has 183hp motor/no license, I see nothing but trouble in the future

The best "All Around" bike you can buy is a Honda VFR800fi. Always has & always will. It's been rated as such for over a decade by Cycle World Magazine. The R1 is undoubtably a better sporting machine, but not a better all around bike.

KC-10 FE out...

I love riding bikes. I started off on a crotch rocket and with age have moved up to a cruiser. Honda 1100 sabre and the wife loves riding. But lately I have been looking at a new V-Rod, love the looks. Anyone else own a V-Rod that can give me input?
