new tailgate..

well guys, my tailgate was stolen right outside my window, because I'd never thought to lock it. this is supposed to be the better part of houston, but I guess they all have their crooks

where is the cheapest place to get replacement tailgates? and would I have to get it painted or can I order white? It's an 02 x-cab btw.

I keep mine locked. Those things are so easy to remove.

thanks guys. That's a whole lot cheaper than I thought it'd be. Do I need to just order the tailgate, or that 'component kit' that's another 129? Im guessing that includes the handle and stuff too.

Check Ebay, you might even be able to buy your tailgate that was stolen back if you're lucky.

****ty deal, both the tailgate and the net I had on mine are both gone. Cant lock mine, been trying to find a replacement one for months. Friend who works at an auto yard says he gets calls to replace stolen ones all the time.
