Cool Hampton Roads

I live in Hampton Roads, and I'm in a dead end job. I know that there are many members that live in this area, and wanted to know what they do for a living. I really am looking for a new career and would like some help finding whats out there! THANKS

Whats up man, what part of Hampton Roads?

I live on the Peninsula currently but work in Chesapeake as an automation engineer. As far as work, what skills/education do you have?

I dont know about you, but I dont know how ppl afford to live around here with housing prices shooting up. I moved away for a couple of years and decided to move back, something I may regret because I cannot afford to buy a decent house. You're basically screwed if your just starting out like me.

I can just imagine walking into a job interview and telling the employer, "I dont have any skills or education, when can I start."

Everyone has skills, strengths, talents, etc that can be utilized, its simply a matter of determining what they are and capitalizing on them. I also live in NN, but trying to move to the southside, but cant nearly afford it.

The drive acrosss the HRBT gets old real quick.

You might consider the military -- good place to get some training and be exposed to many different experiences that may give you an idea about what you want to do with the rest of your life. With the situation in Iraq I might be more interested in the Air Force or the Navy over the Army or the Marines......

Do you know how to milk a goat?
Do you think you have what it takes to sleep under a tree in the middle of the day?
If you are startled awake by a noise, do you have the mental capacities to not 'cry wolf' until you have actually seen a wolf?

If you answered 'Yes' to all these questions there may be an exciting and rewarding career awaiting you in Goat Herding!

Benefits:
* Carry a big stick
* wear a robe with nothing underneath
* scratching where it itchs without public disdain
* lay about in the green grass of the countryside with only a faint goat oder nearby
* bathing, shaving, in fact, all personal grooming entirely optional

(* did I mention sandals)
