I got the imgination part, just don't have the "know how" to beable to take a stack of boards and make my vision reality from them. Now give me a pile of metal or even plastics and I can build anything.

I'm just wondering if the base of that tv is really 24" off the floor. RFeason being is that the receptacle to the right is at approximately the same height and we set our receptacles at 16" from the floor. Just curious.

The outlets around here are put 16'' and down (12'' off the ground). From the ground to the top of the pull out swivel platform for the tv is about 20 inches. Then add the base for the TV stand puts it at about 24''.

Wow, I can’t believe how quickly those pictures appeared with my blazing fast dail-up connection (44.0 Kbps)

They seriously opened with lightning speed, weird.

Anyway, nice job with the customer’s cabinet, looks like quality work you guys do.

I wouldn’t mind something like that for my almost finished recroom (we’re in the mudding and taping phase right now)

The only thing I would want to be different (if I were ordering it, is:
Notice the part directly over the fireplace? There isn’t a veneer backing on that open section, which I found made it look kinda unfinished. I would request a veneer backing section on that back part (over the fireplace), and maybe put shelves there, or maybe put the TV in that big open section. Maybe it’s the photo, but that TV does look awfully low, and I was wondering how the heat blowing out of the fan might have an affect on the TV itself, since those TV’s tend to run hot as it is.

In any case, really nice job, I’m sure 20 people would order it 20 different ways anyway.

Yeah, it was a rush deal for them to decorate it before christmas. They said they were thinking about putting up a large clock on the wall behind the fireplace or a nice picture of something. As far as it getting hot....it has decent space behind the tv since its on a pull out shelf. Luckly it has plenty of space above the tv to extract the heat.

And your 100% right about 20 different people would order it 20 different ways

Yeah, if that were my unit, there would be a big Leaf's flag in the big open space, and a couple of those leaf mini sticks on either side.
To finish it off, my Darryl Sittler rookie card right between the 2 sticks, haha.
