annoying ext warranty company
Thanks for the information. I got a ext warranty company calling all the time. what it was I get this phone call about extending my warranty and I agree with it, but I decided to change my mind not to go with it so they call me back 2 weeks later. I told them not interested anymore and they told me how great it is at a point they pissed me off. They wouldn't take NO for a answer I kept telling them I'm interseted anymore got to a point I hung on them. They called me back but I didn't answer (good thing for calling ID). They kept calling for about a week everyday.
I got one here and saved a http://www.fordwarrantys.com/pricing...xtraCarebundle, it is a ford esp warranty but cheaper than my dealership.....

They offered $200 off after I showed some interest. That showed up the next day when I asked for info... Got 6years 75k miles for $780 with a $50 deductable. Not bad in my book as much as I hate extended warranties.

Best extended warranty is in your own billfold.
If you do proper maintenance, or even go overboard and do extensive maintenance, your vehicle will last longer than 75% of the other vehicles on the road. This maintenance expense will cost you a few $$, but you will extend the life of your vehicle.
If you have a catastrophic failure, you will still be able to repair the problem, but have a vehicle worth fixing (because it is in great shape from all the maintenance being done on all the components that didn't have a problem).
Extended warranties are like an insurance program. The company that sells them is in business to make a profit. By buying an extended warranty, you are putting yourself in an insurance pool with people who, since they have "insurance", are not going to take as good a care of their vehicle, therefore, they will have more problems than the driver who is **** about maintenance. In order for the extended warranty provider to make money, they have to set prices high enough to cover all of the pool's repair costs as well as maintain their profit.
I am not proposing that insurance is not a good thing; I am proposing, however, that with the quality of modern vehicles, if you do maintenance and take care of the truck, you have less chance of needing the extended warranty and you won't be paying for someone else's lack of vehicle upkeep.
Additionally, if you were to put the money that would have been spent on an extended warranty into your savings account, you'll probably be able to pay off most of any catastrophic failure.
Of course, I could be wrong...and I'm sure someone will be here any moment to tell me why...

As I stated, yes it is an insurance policy, but in my past experience, one that has been worth it if you are keep your vehicle to higher miles. It doesn't take much to go wrong at today's prices to pay for itself.
No not a flame, just a another view.
