finding a website for travel

next month were are taking my wifes grandmother to florida she is 88 years old and has never seen the ocean. she is in a wheelchair she can walk about 2 steps if she can hold on to something. the trip is 1000 miles.i think doing the trip in one day would be to hard on here. so we are planing on doing it in two days. and i need help anyone know any website that would help me find a room. what im wanting is website to give me a list of hotels down I75. i like bestwestern say one every hour or so with address and phone numbers. this way when we want to stop it will be easy. thank you

expedia is the big boy but you can use yahoo maps to plan a route and have it show hotels along the way.

Time is money.

I can't believe an octogenarian will be comfortable on a 36 hour automobile trip (19 + 19).

Flying:
$200 for a rd trip airline ticket X 3 = $600. (You're there in 4 hrs.)
Rental car for a week $400

Driving 2,000 miles:
Gas - $275
Two in route motel rooms $125

$600 or 4 days in a car with your wifes grandmother, you make the call.

If I am driving for the scenic effect that's fine.

If I'm trying to get to a destination and that destination if over 700 miles, I fly.

700 is about all I can do non-stop.
If I'm stopping and sleeping, my time and costs are shooting up and airline tickets are looking better and better.

Less than 700, I don't want to fly because:
I don't like to fly
Arrive 1 hour before flight, usually involves plane change-another delay
Luggage retrevial plus limited as to what you take.

The plane may beat me on an under 700 mi trip but, the ticket cost and lack of vehicle upon arrival doesn't justify saving 3-5 hrs for me.
