That is fairly normal for high resolution satellite imagery grids...and aerial flyovers....

The red tag on the right says "UAGA-F" So Im thinking it was a Guard fly over.

Awesome picture...really puts things into perspective.

On a side note, if you look in the upper middle portion of the picture you will see a red fire boat. This boat is FDNY Marine 1 (The John Harvey). This boat supplied ALL water for the initial efforts of the FDNY at extinguishing the massive fires that ensued after the attack. All of the water mains were broken and no hydrants were available for use. The John Harvey operated at the site for quite some time, utilizing over 41 football fields worth of 3" hose and 2 football fields worth of 5" hose. Even with all of this hose line and water flow, the John Harvey had NOT yet exceeded its pumping capability.

Water mains were repaired around Spetember 14th, however the Harvey stood fast as a back-up water supply.

WOW!

That really reminds me of a time, that apparently many have forgotten, when terrorists hijacked American planes and flew them into buildings killing thousands of innocent Americans. It was a day that changed the way I think about the world. It was a day that I know I'll NEVER forget.
