damn man thats not funny.
happened to us in western new york with the surprise october storm where we had 3 ft.
power went out at 11 pm.
sump pump battery thats sposed to last for 60 hours lasted for 2.
didnt have a generator and the water got up to 3 ft in the basement before it got vacced out and the FD let us use a generator, lost a finished room, stuff in it, and a loc of christmas decorations

now we got a 5500watt troybuilt generator

I was about stuck in the yard before. Couldnt get the damn truck backed up into the garage since our yard has a pretty good slope to it. Front end kept breaking loose and sliding down hill. Took a good 4-5 runs and i nailed it haha. This stick snow sucks cuz the brakes get filled up with snow and they dont want to work. I want to take the snowmobile out but with 30 mph winds....screw that. I might need that thing incase of an emergency later tonight or tomorrow.

Man I was soo ticked last night....
I was suppose to go look at a camper to buy, the people were out of town and told us to go look at it. I came home to get my genny to test out teh A/C, fridge etc.... and my Genny was GONE!!!!! chainsaws setting next to it, a craftsman tool box wit habout $5K in tools on the other side and a murray push mower behinfd it.... everything was there so I was like WTF steals a generator and not that other stuff.

Turns out my dad had came and borrowed it and forgot to tell me. I thought that was suppose to be my job ot do that to him.

Flip the switch over lever befor hooking it up. That way your not feeding power back down the line and killing a lineman trying to fix the problem.
not to mention feeding your neighbors free elecricity which they would turn everything on and burn up your generator.

Yep, i knew that haha. Kill the power at the yard pole...hook the the tractor the the generator and plug it in to the welder outlet.....get the tractor going to where the metor gets to the red area and the generator then flip the switch on the generator and hope she works.......i think

WHOA!!!!

Your back feeding through the welder circuit?????

Ahh crap dude fix that ASAP and get a generator hook up on your pole. That is dangerous both while using it and it can weld your breaker open, giving you no protection if the welder fries later on.

We've had over a foot of snow since Sunday here The hubby is running out of room to put it when he clears the driveway. Total for the season we figure is somewhere between 5-6 feet. I'm ready for spring!!
