what I want to know is how the hell you can afford to live on $300 a week? I can understand if youre younger and your parents are paying for everything but if you have to pay all your bills (i.e. house, insurance, vehicle, food) I would love to know how to do that one. Please share this wealth of knowledge.

You sound HIGHLY motivated, so finding a job making only $300/week shouldn't be that hard.

That's what I was going to suggest.

You could easily make $300 in one day, and take the rest of the week off.

Problem is the thousands he's gonna have to spend in startup costs. Plus you've got to bank enough during summer months to hold you over the off season (assuming he lives in a 4-season area). Now he's got to make $300 each day for 5-6 days to cover costs and make a profit.

This is true. But what stay at home job isn't going to have upfront costs? You need money to make money, and we are only talking 15-16k/year here.

So plow snow in the winter, what the problem is?:santa:

I like the idea of buying something for a dollar and selling it on ebay for 10.

It's win-win.
Make 3 large, work from home and you don't have to wear any pants.

And if you have a winter like we've had in SE MI with only a handful of plow days in the past 4 months? If you are a startup this season you are seriously in the red with plow & salt equipment...

A friend of mine once told me that being self employed was the most expensive thing he's ever done in his life.

It is a huge undertaking and needs to be approached with a meticulous, well thought out busienss plan and a strong desire to succeed. Then you must execute on your plan.

I blew a ton of cash only to realize it wasn't worth it and I couldn't do it. And I hate failure and to that point in my life had never failed. Granted my startup venture was a tad more complex than a grass mowing gig but still... I'd rather work for the man and leave my problems at my desk when I leave. I'll find another way to make my millions. Perhaps I'll start rapping or make home made ****.
