Beat up on that M50D transmission, and you'll go through 3 of them no problem... Welcome Wookie #2, let the mods begin!

Wookie is a nickname of mine that came from when I had long hair and a full beard, and I'm 6'5" lol.

Now I have a buzzed head and a goatee, but the name just stuck.

Let me guess, you had a L460E?? What a piece of crap. I had a friend blow two in a month behind a 3.4L in a Firechicken.
Yeah the 4L60E is absolute crap. First one was kinda my fault...sprayed nitrous on a stock trans. The other 2 were flukes and I got fed up with it and sold it as is.

Welcome!

For the M5OD, I would reccomend investing in a Hurst shifter. It makes the truck a bit more fun to drive.

Thats why my buddy is sticking with his old IROC, he looked to buy newer but never heard anything good about the newer models. The old TH350 is alot better (for a Chev). Though I did have one blow in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin in the 1 ton.

Yeah among the drag racers the TH350 is the popular swap. The T56 6 speed is strong as anything...but then those break the weak 7.5 10 bolt rear lol.

I used to have an 84 Camaro too, but it wasn't exactly what you would call streetable
