Just kiddin' ya. Somebody has to learn engineering to run those locomotives...

We rescued one of our labs from Chillicothe once. Other than St. Louis, and Hannibal (and driving Rt. 36) I have no clue as to what is where in Missouri.

Wow---Rolla, according to Missouri standards, must be a freaking metropolis! JK

Mapquest and an old warn-out Rand MacNally Atlas---but I would wonder if Rolla is on it, as the atlas is so old...and obviously, Rolla is the garden capital of Mid-America!

Just out of curiosity, what is the population of this bustling metropolis? And how bow big is UM--Rolla?

(Keep in mind that I did some of my grad work at ESU---Enormous State University (The Ohio State University---with an enrollment of around 60,000---none of which were particularly sober at any givien time...))

Did my undergrad work at a college of 1600---and beleive me, it was out in the middleof Nowheresville, Ohio.

About 5500 students. 14,000 people total in Rolla. It's a drinking town with an engineering problem.

"And it's one of the best engineering schools in the nation..."

this is very true. i recruit intern and coop engineers (EE, ME, CE) from rolla every year. some of the best engineers at my company attended UMR.

zaairman - are you looking for an intern or coop? we will be at the job fair in the fall to recruit for 2008. stop by the booth if you get a chance..
