Would you steal this?

I'm thinking of installing this double din unit which would be obvious it was aftermarket. I'm hoping the cassette feature would prevent a break in. What do you think? It's here

What you have to remember is that there are countless idiots out there that will break into your vehicle for a mere quarter -- yet alone a nice head unit.

While it may be less of a lure to the would be kleptomaniac, it's still a target.

Wow I kinda like that. I have been looking for a stock replacement radio/cd player/cassette player for my 2001 truck.

Looks pretty nice.
Where do you live?

Only thing I don't like about it is the volume **** is on the passenger side of the radio.

People still listen to cassettes?

I've never stolen anything in my life...

But, I'd steal that...

This is why I'd never swap out my facotry head unit. I'd build a monster behind it, but when you look in my window, all you'll see is a POS Ford head unit.

PS: I have a lot of old Jams from back in the day on tape. I'm mad as hell new cars don't come with them any more...

It took them 20+ years, but their plan to get rid of cassettes is almost complete.

I dont think I own a cassette anymore, maybe stashed somewhere under bed or in the attic somewhere that I never go.... I recorded them all to CD.

Don't overpay at crutchfield. Buy it from eBay , spend another $50 and get a HU that is Sirius/XM ready....I suggest the Kenwood DPX-701 or something comparable.
