Any Downhill Mountain bikers??
Any Downhill Mountain bikers??
Hey all,
Just bought me a used (not really tho
) Specialized Big Hit one downhill bike. Its a 2006 model and i got a steal of a deal on it cuz the son never used it, so the old man sold it on him.
long story short, has anyone had any experience with this model of bike?? The guys at the bike store checked it out and said that it was a great bike and all, but if anyone has any first hand experience i'd sure appreciate any info on how she handles, anything that has broken, or any other pos or neg info on the bike.
Cheers
Tanner

I don't have a Specialized and I don't have a "down hill" bike. I have a hard tail, but it'll go down hill ok.
I think that you need to look at the wheels to make sure that they're true. Make sure that the suspention has the proper travel and that the shocks function properly. Make sure that the frame is straight and that the welds are in good condition. If the bike hasn't been ridden much and it hasn't been crashed bad then you should be all set.
This is just my opion. I don't ride as much as I'd like. I usually trail ride. There are some, some what challenging trails, but I do not ride "down hill" like some more experianced mountian bikers.
