I knew there was a good reason to stay home on days that it snows!! People like that are the reason driving in inclement weather is such a hazard

Start it and let the defroster work...... 20 mins windows are clear and I go on my way.....

I agree with crazy joe... if the snow blowing off my vehicle is obscuring your vision... then back off!!!! you are waaaaayyy to close for slick road condtion... the rules do change with road conditions......

I'm with PSS-MAG and crazyjoe on this one... if you are BLINDED by the snow coming off the top of my truck, then back the F!@$ off! It's not really that much snow anyway.

I don't tailgate, especially in icy conditions but that snow coming off the roof can fly a good distance!! I've also had all that snow slide down the windshield and obscure the whole thing!

Story: In Cordova, Alaska, about 6 inches of very wet, heavy snow overnight. My son wants me to drive him to school so I tell him to go start the truck and clear the snow off while I get dressed and I'll take him. I go out to the truck and he's cleared off the windows and hood but not the top. I shrug and off we go. The housing we lived in was on a hill, the road out was a fairly steep grade and when we started down the hill all that wet snow slid off the roof right onto the windshield. It was to heavy for the wipers and I couldn't see a thing. I made him get out in the middle of the street and clear it off. He wasn't happy because his feet got all wet in the slush on the road and he had to go to school that way. But if he had cleared all the snow, his feet would have been dry and happy for the day! If you don't clear it off in consideration of others you should at least do it for your own convenience!

pennsylvania law

pennsylvania passed a law a couple weeks ago. All the snow must be scraped off your car before traveling or you will be fined.

Its not a following to closely thing. You will be minding your own buisness going to work with a half way warmed up windsheild, then some idiot like crazy Joe blows by and blinds you with this cloud of snow. The snowy vapor hits your half warmed winsheild and makes this frosty mess of it.

You did nothing wrong, but your totally blind for 5 seconds. You watch him go down the road. Every car he passes taps the brakes to put some distance between themselves and Crazy Joe.

Hes a rolling hazzard.

He compares it to dust being kicked up while driving down a dirt road?

If you were hauling dirt and going down the freeway leaving a huge dust cloud like that you would be pulled over.

Theres a difference in kicking up stuff on the road and your car leaving stuff all over the road.

It's obvious that Crazy Joe lives in an area that doesn't see extreme cold for long periods of time. It snows and either melts within a day or two, or it stays a sloppy mess that his wipers can deal with. Where I live it stays below -15C for 4-5 months of the year making your wipers useless. When I'm driving along at -30C and I get snow blowing on my nice warm windshield (usually from the top of a semi trailer), it melts then refreezes instantly obscuring my vision. If I turn the wipers on then I get a nice thin, even film of ice across my field of view.

People with his selfish attitude are a big part of the reason why the accident rate goes up in the winter.
