Copying the audio from a DVD to a regular CD-R, is this possible?

I bought this Black Eyed Peas DVD (live in Australia / Vegas) DVD, and I really enjoy watching it.
If I could buy the same DVD exactly on a CD to play in my truck, I would buy it again just to be able to listen to it while driving.

Is it possible somehow to take only the audio from the DVD and put it to a CD?

Since I bought the DVD all legal like, I don't think I'm breaking any piracy laws or anything, since I already own it (unless I'm mistaken)

But for arguements sake, I'd just like to "back up" the audio portion in case something happens to my original.

(just in case someone wants to get all pissy with me)

Anyway, the only other option I can see is installing a DVD player in the truck, and that's not something I want to do at this point in time.

Is it possible to do this?

Thanks

Yes, I do it al the time.

Download a "DVD Audio Ripper" and rip the audio as you would a CD.

Edit the tracks as you see fit, and burn them to a CD with your favorite burning rom.

Easy as that.
