story I love sharing

I love it when the dealer gets screwed! When I bought my truck I went in on a saturday and told them I didn't care what my trade in $ was I just wanted to know the bottom line price. My truck was on the lot for 38 and change and I get the x-plan pricing because my wife works for state farm. So they give me the bottom line price of 30 and change, called my wife she brought in a check to pay in full and I'm on my way. Sunday I had to drive to Oklahoma for work and monday I get a call from the wife. The dealer says four of their people missed a 5000$ error and wanted me to bring the truck back or bring them a check for 5k. So I call the dealerand speak to the head idiot. She says her employees missed some numbers and undercharged me. I could noot hold back the laughter. I says you want me to pay for your employees mistakes? The answer i get is she can't eat a 5k loss and if I payed half that would be fine. I told her I fail to see where this is my problem and I hung up on her. She calls me back and asks me to bring the truck back I told her to come get it but its in Oklahoma and good luck its a big state. This went on for about a month. Ford wouldn't do anything since every dealership is independantly owned. I guess to make a long stroy short every time I drive my truck I think about her begging me to bring my truck back. I wish I would have known they were going to screw up I would have gotten a f350 with the diesal.

Congrats on screwing the dealer. I am sure someone probably got fired for that. If not, they must be family.

You could mention the only reason you bought was the price. If they would like to cancel the deal, have your cheque ready, cancel the deal and return the vehicle. You can make another somewhere else and you are ahead all the mileage. They will not cancel and return all monies.

I'm confused with her logic. Sticker was 38 & you get discount, plus you gave them a trade, That equals 35??? What did you trade, a Yugo?

I had some negative equity on a 97 f150 I traded in. I don't know how I did, my wife just told me it was time to buy a new truck. I don't even bring my truck to that dealer for service. And I'll never buy another truck from them. There is plenty of dealers in the twin cities.
