Lent!

So, who's doing the Lent thing this year? I just had an awesome fish sandwich from BK...

Seeing how I am not Catholic (Methodist, actually), a double-cheese, pepperoni, and sausage, mushroom, and onion pizza was very, very tasty tonight.

However, I normally do give something up for lent---this year it is beer. (YIKES!)

In the past, rather than giving something up, I take something up, such as doing more work around the church, or volunteering at a homeless shelter...

I gave up handburgers. I did that last year as well & found out a bunch of places have really good chicken sandwhiches.

BTW, I love the BK big fish w/extra tartar sauce but I probably won't be ahving an of those for a while unless I eat salads the rest of the week.

I screwed up right off the bat. Figured I'd get a chicken bisquit on the way to the airport this morning. Didn't even think twice. Didn't think about it being Friday until I stopped at mom's. So I figured since today was already screwed, I'd go to Steak & Shake and get a double cheese. Dam it was good.

I would come close to selling my son for a Yuengling! They do not sell them in the Buckeye State!

I know it is brewed in Pa, but for some reason they do not sell it in Ohio---when I am officiating over in the eastern part of the state, I drive into Pa and get some. I friend of mine who owns a beverage store can't even get it.

Last September a friend of mine and I took a run over to Pa in my truck and brought back some cases---alas, all gone bye bye now. Lots of dead soldiers...
