Glad to hear everyone's OK.

We were living in the San Francisco Bay area in 1989 for the Loma Prieta earthquake. It was the first earthquake I'd ever been in, pretty scary stuff. No major damage where we lived but we were without long distance phone service for several days; made it hard to let friends and family know we were unharmed.
