Ghost Rider

Went with the kids to see it earlier. Pretty good job IMO. Effects were very well done and Eva Mendes looked stunning as always.

Anyone else see it yet?

Put a video cam on a tripod then you can watch it from the comfort of your couch.

I'll wait till it comes out on DVD. Movies are getting too expensive. Almost $15 a ticket not to mention pop corn and a couple of watered down pops. Thats crazy. If I go to a movie i want to know a head of time that its a fantastic movie.

Me and Shaun (my 3yr old) went and seen it last night... Good movie. Nick Cage plays an awesom part, remniscant of his character in 'Face Off'.
Shaun loved it, all night he kept talking about the 'Ghost with his head on fire'...

In my opinion, it was defintley worth the price of admission, but in backwoods Ga thats only $5.50 a ticket, and 3 and under is free.

Is it worth the full theatrical experince?

The local cinema I think charges $8 a head for matinee, $4 for a Drink that last 1/4 a movie and $1.50 for a candy bar. For the 4 of us to go I count on spending $50. So yea we dont do that! Last movie I seen there, was I took my daughters and some of thier friends to watch Santa Train.

There is a cinema about 60 miles away that is only $2 a head, but they show the flicks ussually about 3 weeks after they leave the main theaters, just before they come out on DVD. If we are in the area and have time we will go to that one alot of times. We sneak candy in wifes purse and just buy drinks. Which are $2 also but with free refills. But just to go to watch and come home, thats almost another $20 in gas.

With todays home theater systems, theres nothing that you'd miss by watching it at home. If I remember right, I think you said you had a pretty nice one... So in that case, a full theatrical experiance isn't worth what you'd pay to go see it. I'm just trying to say don't go see it just to experiance it at the movies...
I can't think of any movies that I've seen at the theater that wasn't just as good as on my crappy system. I take the kids cause its a thrill for them, other wise I'd wait until it came out.
I'm not saying it's not a great movie, because I thouroughly enjoyed it. But don't use that as a reason... Unless thats the excuse you're giving the wife...

A few of my freinds went to see the movie last night and they all said that it was entertaining to watch, but the movie was full of really bad one-liners.

Yea I am the same way, mines not super nice, I have the sound down, but the video is lacking alot. I haven't talk the wife into letting me have $10K for a 10' wide screen and projector "yet".

In all honesty I hate going to the theater, I love the experince but when I get home I have a hard time watching the 32" screen and enjoying it. (Yea I told you it was lacking)

I agree 100%

I would rather watch a movie in my living room for the simple fact that I wont have to listen to the people around me.:

The cell phone going off behind me, the baby crying up front (WTF do people bring new borns to a theatre?), the sick old man to my left coughing every 5 minutes and making everyone else sick....these things are what keep me at home.
