Yeah, I ALMOST got to shake Jimmy Carter's hand when he flew into Fort Hood back in summer 1977. Being a little, short fella, I got muscled out of the way in the crowd. Saw him, but didn't get to shake his hand...

 

Many years ago, early 60's, our Little League teams got to go to a Pirates game. I lucked out and got front row right field. Those of us in the front row got to talk to Roberto Clemente. That is the only famous person I have met, at least that I can remember. It was a big deal to me. One of my baseball heroes.

Although I am not a Clinton man he has earned a little of my respect. My cousin work for him during his administration. My mother got to help with the Easter Egg hunt they have at the White House. Anyway my mother became very ill with cancer and before she passed he wrote her aletter and signed it. I do not remember what it said but it was a very nice letter.

 

I had quite the interesting conversations with him in the couple hours it took him to do my tat.
