after the dual 150 he won, nascar took his car to inspection. one of the shock mounts in the rear weren't up to par causing his car to be an inch lower than required. he now has to give up a 4th place starting spot on sunday and start 42nd

 

at least he wasnt cheating

it'll take him a little time if he gets up there at all. he wasn't running worth anything until his car got lower then could out run some people. stewart is gonna be tough, but i'd watch out for the 8 and 20 to hook up and steal the show.

 

I'm not a "Smoke" fan, but he sure looks strong this year. A carry over from a solid finish last year.

And I think Jr is on a mission this year. He's out for blood. Going to be hard to beat at Daytona.

To bad Waltrip went to Toyota. I guess the big bucks turned his head. He has a real mess to deal with now.

Jet fuel in the intake? Pretty slick. Probably wouldn't help much, but for a couple of laps you figure it would have been sucked in and richened the mixture a bit.

What a cheater. I could understand being 1/8" low, but almost 1"? Let me get this straight - #17 & #19 crew chiefs get suspended for missing TAPE in the rear wheelwells but all Gordon gets is put the end of the line? Yeah, he's not NASCAR's golden boy at all is he.

I think Waltrip should have been suspended for several races.

The shock mount was broken, he wasn't cheating. It's happened many times before that I can remember. What difference does it make where he starts, he's going to win anyway.
