Heard on Speed that they think it's an additive to the fuel that increases the oxygen content or something like that, no wonder they call them "rice burners".

Anything that increases oxygen in the cylinders will mean more fuel, nore power. That is what nitrous oxcide does. It just carries more oxygen to the cylinders.

Apparently it was a chemical that was detected on the intake manifold.

just herd the stuff that they found under mw carborator was sterno gel. like the stuff you would use on a buffet line. it was the same thing that the number 12 car had in it a few years ago. go figure the crew chief for the 12 car is now with waltrip racing.

Car was too low due to broken part. Starts 42nd now. Bummer.

What they found on MW's intake manifold might just have been Teriyaki sauce where a crew member used the warm engine to heat up his dinner...

Also, just wondering ~

Do the Toyota race engines use timing belts ???
