Help Desk Software

Do any of you use any help desk software for IT support tickets that you like? The one's I've used I don't like and the new company I'm at is looking for one.

Thanks.

When I was help desk we used platypus. It was alright, seemed stable from user end, dont know how much the admin had to tweak it, but I'd guess not much or he would have got something else. He was as lazy as I am and software was not an issue for us, we got what ever we wanted.

Just googled it and looks like a Tucows product...... This looks like teh same logo it had.

Thanks guys, I'll look into them. Tried out one by WebEx, which integrates their remote desktop software, pretty cool.

I beleive Remedy is about $2400 each for a fixed license, and about $5600 for a floating license. HEAT should be quite a bit cheaper. I have not heard of Platypus.

It's been 8 years since I've looked at it but Support Magic was decent 10 years ago.

You might check out Infra which is a pretty slick tool. Evaluated against Remedy and HEAT and Infra won out for various reasons. Microsoft is coming out with a Service Desk app but I don't think timelines are known at this time.
