Whats wrong with my digi camera?

I have a Sony DSC-S40, when I went outside to take snow pics, I noticed that on the screen its all white. I cant see anything unless I aim the camera down and look at the screen at an extreme angle. It takes pics fine and they look alright in my snow thread. Any help is appreciated.

Could it be that you had it pointed at the snow?

Is the back light for the screen on or off?
Check to see if it has screen adjustments, it may have gotten switched to 100% bright by accident.
