You ever have those nights?

Ever have those nights when umm lets say 3am rolls around (keep in mind workday tomorrow not out partying) and your still just wide awake. And its not like I slept in much today either.

Like right now I ponder whether I should get up and hit up 24 (gym) or try to fall asleep, or do something to keep me up the rest of the night...

Any other ideas...

Done that more times than I want to remember. When I was working mornings I had to be up at 230. If I couldnt fall asleep by 10 I just wouldnt bother. Usually Id just toss in a movie and around 2 just go grab a cup of coffee Then just go to work and take a nap at my desk

I have had those nights. I usually find a good book and read until I feel like I could go to sleep. Funny thing is, no matter how little sleep I get those nights, I never seem overly tired the next day. It's like my body is telling me that you've caught up on your sleep and you get a free night!!

This happens to me alot as well. My workday starts at 7am but I'm used to going to bed around 2am or later from way too many late nights of partying throughout my 20's. Eventhough I've slowed down and hardly go out anymore, I can't seem to break this cycle and go to sleep before midnight. What's worse is somenights my mind won't stop racing and I'm thinking about everything I need or want to do the next day, week or several months ahead. Sheesh, I must be gettin' older...

When I was in my 20's I would often stay up every third night as I was unable to sleep. Went on for years. When I drove highway I was getting about 3 hours a night. Now things have calmed down a bit but still many 2-3 am nights, up at 5:45 am.
