Geocaching

How many geocachers are here? I got into it for a little while when I lived in Calgary and found a few around here since I moved. My total is only 24 finds and 3 no finds. Still have two travel bugs in the wild. One has even been to Hawaii and back.

Alas, Another geocacher. Been doing it for a couple years now. Matter of fact, I got the idea from this site. I only have 56 finds but plan on at least 150 by next fall. Got a Garmin GPS map 60cs. I just got my paws on a small ammo can and a geocache container and plan on planting them somewhere here in Montana this spring. Great to hear from another geocacher. Cache on and happy finds. For anyone else interested check it out at http://www.geocaching.com/ put in your zip code and see how many caches are around you.

I do it when I am out camping. Just started last year. I don't even remember how many finds I have, I haven't been on geo in a while. I am looking forward to a camping trip in April just becuase of a no find that had been stumping people all year was recently located and a new clue given.

I've really fallen out of it... I just don't have any time anymore. I still maintain a couple of caches... and have had 4 muggled over the past couple of years.

It's a great time and will get you in some 'local' places that you may or may not have ever known about when you're on the road. I really enjoy it but, the time factor is a huge trump card.

What are you guys talking about??? I followed the link and read it but still dont understand. So the point is go hide something in the woods and than post the latitude/longitude online and someone will go find it????

Kind of... yes. It's a glorified scavenger hunt of sorts.
