Wait Slamma, maybe he does wear his seal belt, but doesn't want to have to snap his seat belt on if he's just sitting in the truck.

I know that chime drives me nuts.

Lucky for you I still have this saved from when I first joined the site....

Ford Owners Manual
Deactivating/Activating the Belt Minder feature:
The Belt Minder feature can be deactivated/activated by performing the following procedure:

Before following the procedure, make sure that:
The parking brake is set
The gearshift is in the P (Park) (automatic transmission) or the neutral position (manual transmission).
The ignition switch is in the off position
All vehicle doors are closed
The driver’s safety belt is unbuckled
The parklamps/headlamps are in the OFF position (if vehicle is equipped with auto lamps, this will not affect the procedure.)

To reduce the risk of injury, do not deactivate/activate the Belt Minder feature while driving the vehicle.

Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (or ON) position. (DO NOT START THE ENGINE)
Wait until the safety belt warning lamp turns off. (Approximately 1-2 minutes)

Steps 3-5 must be completed with in 60 seconds or the procedure will have to be repeated.

Buckle and unbuckle the safety belt three times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled. This can be done before or during the Belt Minder warning activation.
Turn on the parklamps/headlamps, turn off the parklamps headlamps.
Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt three times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled.

After Step 5 the safety belt warning light will be turned on for three seconds.

With in seven seconds of the safety belt warning light turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt.

This will enable Belt Minder if it is currently disabled, or disable Belt Minder if it is currently enabled.
Then you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around.........

Another one that might be of interest unles you live in a crime ridden city.....

Ford Owners Manual
Deactivating/Activating the autolock feature
Before following the procedure make sure that the ignition is OFF and all vehicle doors and the liftgate window are closed.

You must complete step 1-7 with in 30 seconds or the procedure will have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, you must wait 30 seconds.
  1. Turn the ignition key to on
  2. Press the power door unlock control three times
  3. Turn the ignition key from on to off
  4. Press the power door unlock control three times
  5. Turn the ignition key back to on. The horn will chirp
  6. Press the unlock control, then press the lock control. The horn will chirp once if autolock was deactivated or twice (one short and one long chirp) if autolock was activated.
  7. Turn the ignition to OFF. The horn will chirp once to confirm the procedure is complete.

The WHOLE web site is dedicated to 97-03. so if you had looked in the Electrical forum you would have seen a bunch of these posts dating back to 1997. I believe anything you want to ask about your truck has probably already been asked.
:santa:
