Unhappy I just got my *** kicked....pics

Damn it...Damn it...Damn it.

I went to the doctor today. I had to give about 5 gallons of blood and some wee-wee. Took care of business and I was good to go so I left the office.

Got out to the truck, and some *** clown in a Dodge Magnum parked so close to me I could barely get the door to the truck open. Man, I hate that chit.

Well, I couldn't back out and swing the front around to the left, I had to back out and go right. (follow me?)

As I am easing out I feel a slight "bump".

CRAP!

You know those stupid concrete poles? I nudge one with my front passenger side bumper. Well, that sucks. I knew they were there when I parked. I just forgot about them being there because I cant see them now, they are real short.

Anyway, now I have to back out the other way where that damn Magnum is. I pull up a touch and plan to back out straight and then swing it left and try to miss that damn car....as I am backing up....."bump".

WTF ! ! !

I backed into ANOTHER ONE!

What? WHY!
These damn things are popping up like fire ant mounds! I finally get it out of this spot that should be marked "Mazda Miata parking only", and look over the damage.

Front bumper:

Rear bumper:

Yep, got my *** kicked by a parking space. BTW, excuse the poor quality photo's, it's raining and about 35 degrees out.

I agree with PSS. That will definately be a bumper replacement. You had to be going pretty fast to make the *** crunch like that. I backed into a pole doing about 5 MPH and it barely made a dent. That seems like atleast a 15 MPH backup right there.

The front isn't bad at all, some rubbing compund will take the marks off.

Remove the rear bumper and go at with a rubber mallet from the inside.
Lay it on something to protect the paint before you beat on it.

If there is any residual evidence of bumper damage when you're done well, that's what bumper stickers are for.

But don't let this happen again.
I suggest from now on you take up two parking spaces and if anyone makes a comment beat the hell out of 'em.
(That's what I do)

It will buff out. A little elbow grease will do the trick.

Dayum Jamz that sucks! I thought from the thread title that guy at Rudy's came back for you.:o Really sorry to hear about your truck. The front should buff out and I would hit the junkyards for the rear bumper...should be a ton of them out there cheap. Good luck.

Just tie the bumper to a pole and it will straighten right out

My dad hooked the bumper of his 67 mgb on a tank at the Army base once. He took it off and bent it back true between two trees. Give that a shot.

I was pulling a full size 78 chev 1/2 tpn with my S10 using a log chain wrapped around my bumper...... We kept gaining speed with every hill and I just thought the guy didnt know how to drive with a chain. We came to a stop sign and he wasnt stopping me, I looked in the rear view, he is frantically pumping the brake pedal and it's not stopping us. So I let up and was going to let him bump me, stop us and call this tow off....... Just as he is about to make contact with me, his brakes catch and 50' of slack in the log chain snaps out as I kept going...... About threw me through the windshield. Pulled my bumper out from the middle and pinched the bed corners. I backed into an old oak tree a few times and straightened it that way, but it was still frowning (pulled down in the middle. SO I pulled it on his dads goossneck trailer wit hsteel floor, chained the ends down to the trailer and jacked the middle up till it was straight, then just bent the lincense plate backing with a HUGE pipe wrench with about a 4' handel. Other than the bed corners and some scuffs in the chrome, you never knew anything happened. Most hte scratches in the chrome came out with steel wool.
