We got talking and said how much fun we had when we used to go fishing all the time and wished we had a boat to go fishing on again. We have a Jet Boat, but thats just for fun and not fishing. So I looked around at a bunch of stuff tonight and realized how much I really do miss hopping on the boat and fishing for a few hours after work or whatever. Right now I just want a small center console to fish the back waters and the bay. I'm just looking so no decisions are made yet. I'm gonna look into it a little more next week and see if I can get one..

Imagine a jetski that's quiet.

It'd make a good 1 man fishing boat.

I know that's right.

A buddy is getting a new boat, and with all the rain we're getting, the lakes should nice and full, bass ready to spawn, and the air will be clean again.

I love Spring, and I love the hit of a large mouth bass in the morning.

I hope the lakes aren't too cloudy from all this rain.

Get a boat and you'll have friends you didn't even know you had

I was just sitting here looking at my W2 as provided by Steve. I must say, the zeros are perplexing. I think I'm going to have to check with him on this before I head down to H&R Block.

Jamz, some of the new 4stroke skis are pretty quiet. And some of thse things are huge now. Looks like you can get 4 people on them and have room to walk around..

With any amount of luck there may be a new fishing boat in my near future.

Brew did you even get your boat out last year?
Why buy more water toys to sit and rot?

Yes they do have 4 person Waverunners. I was looking at one on Ebay last night. I am going to be getting one in the next week or two "as soon as my tax return gets in, suppose to be this coming friday". There is no way I would buy a new ski, like you said it doesnt make sense. I would like a 3 seater now and get another 3 seater later, but might get a 4 if I can find one worth buying in my price range. (Which I am not real sure what that is, I need to figure up the total of debts I am going to pay first.)

Hardy har har ....But I guess I deserve that. The probem with the jet boat is that you gotta have at least one other person with you to make it fun. It never stays in the water so it almost has to be a planned trip to take it out. If I get this fishing boat, which is not a big boat, maybe a 19' or 20' center console, I will have the bottom painted and it will stay in the water. This way, after work I can hop on it and head out to do some fishing. If anyone wants to go with me, cool. If not, then I'm on my own and thats fine with me. I can fish for hours by myself and never be bored. It's actually one of my favorite things to do by myself. Although, theres nothing more fun than fishing with a couple buddys.

I know I'm dreaming here, buuuuuut...if my boss does get rid of his jetski, I may be able to work out a deal and get the boat and the ski. And that, my friend, would make me

Yea I know what you mean, I soemtimes have a hard time finding a couple people to go after work or on fridays when I dont work but everyone else does. It's so aggrevating, I can launch in 30 mins so doesnt have to be a planned trip, but everyone has to be available.
