I want to hunt deer!

I want to hunt deer! I want to go out and take my truck out and a rifle and hunt a deer and get it butchered for me and get 60lbs of venison in my freezer! Healthy snack! =)

[Totally serious.]

Rather vociferous tonight aren't we?

If you want to hunt, good one ya. Just realize that after the shot there's blood and guts involved. If you're not man enough (no pun intended) to stick your hands into the warm innards, of an animal that was just alive and you killed, in order to cut them loose then stay home or shoot em with a camera.

I know people who were squeamish about gutting something they killed but they got over it. OTOH a guy walked out of the field when he realized that pulling the guts out of a dove wasn't for him...no fault in doing that IMO.

This isn't meant to discourage you, but rather induce a little reality check.

nc54,

You can check online with your local (state) DNR/DGIF. Google 'Florida hunting' and you'll see a link to whatever state agency govern's hunting in your state.

Yep. Sometimes I hunt the hairless one's but they're usually more abundant in the summer time. I guess there's thermal properties to a pile of hair, keeps everything warm.

Nothing wrong with a small amount of short and curlies.
