Well i started a thread a month or 2 ago about letting my kid have a xbox 360. I encouraged him to save up his money for a car. He chose the car deal, which i was proud that he did. I was surfing through Craigslist and came across an ad for a PS3 for $675.00. It came with the 60 gig version, 2 wireless controllers, 3 ps3 games, talladega nights and gone in 60 seconds in blue ray, Hdmi cable,optical cable, and a ps2 game and the receipt for it. My son saved up $400.00 for the xbox, and i sold 15 of his old ps2 games to my tenant for $150.00. I then sold his ps2 and 5 games plus six controllers and a memory card for $100.00 to my tenants parents. My son brought home a grade card with a 3.800 I'm so proud of him, i had to give in on this one. Plus we got rid of his old stuff and he still can play his ps2 games on this system. Man i'm glad i didn't let him get the 360. This PS3 is very cool, and his PSP can interface with it. He can even use my bluetooth headset and talk to people over the internet!

 

Sounds like you got a great deal on the PS3 setup....and you should be a proud father with your son pulling grades like that

How does the psp interface with it? I have heard about it but I havent heard what it does.

 

Yeah, had it for a bit now. The PSP interface is kinda lame, but I can see its use.... basically you have the PS3 running and play your PS3 games on the PSP... so if mommy and daddy want to watch TV the kid can still play via the PSP.

why did your son have 6 controllers?

 

A friend of mine read that, soon you will be able to use the psp as a controller, and you will be able to use the screen of the psp for a rear view mirror while you are playing a driving game on the tv.

 

PS3 Is garbage. Well, not really but you should of let him get the 360. I have all three, and the 360 tops all. The wii comes next just because its awsome with all the movement but the PS3 is over rated, ask any one who has one.

 

Wireless

 

They were extras that we didn't want anymore. He has gotten new ones for xmas every year. We have taken them apart several times and cleaned them. Some of them were different styles too.

 

I don't know why it's garbage, it does not overheat like the 360. It has alot more things it's capable of doing. Plus it plays his ps2 games.

 

Xbox 360 plays a majority of the orignal xbox games. Im just saying, as a 17 year old. That i've had alot more fun with the 360, than my ps3. And so far, my xbox 360 hasnt over heated yet, and ive had it since launch day.

 

It makes more sense to invest in a PS3 and wait for the great games if you have a large PS2 library (and who doesn't...besides me).


I still say the Wii is the best but graphics aren't my bread and butter.
