Ok ...help computer guys.

OK, I've been on IE7 for a month or so and don't like it. How do I get IE6 back? I saw the directions for that on a thread here a few weeks ago but can't find it now. Thanks for any help. :o

You literally should be able to use add/remove programs and uninstalling it. I wouldn't recommend it though...I'd get use to the interface if you can...

I see it in "add or remove programs" but if I use that how do I get IE6 back or will it default back in?

In theroy, if you use "add-remove programs", then when IE7 is un-installed, you will be back to IE6.

In reality, alot of people have reported issues after un-installing IE7. If it was me, I would just leave it.

I uninstall it just about every day. Haven't seen problems yet. Once you remove it from add/remove it reverts back to IE6 automatically. (Don't for get to reboot.)

similar to my place but I've actually got compatibility issues with some travel software so I can't approve it for deployment through WSUS...

I'm guessing he tried to uninstall... hence, the reason he hasn't come back to post again.

IE7 is the suck. IE6 is the suck. Everything IE is the suck. Did you all know even the newest version is based on a software architecture that dates back to 1994? I say get Firefox. It's open source, free, and a LOT faster to load pages than IE. Also, no weird Java errors, no script errors, and no ActiveX programs trying to take over your machine. I got Firefox about 3 years ago and will NEVER go back. Ever.

Nah somehow I blew my back out Saturday afternoon and spent all weekend in bed. Feel much better this morning so I just un-installed IE-7 and it went right back to IE-6 so I am very happy! Thanks for all the replies guys.
