I need to invest in a cheap ladder

Anyone know where to get a good but cheap extension ladder?

I've needed one, but seems the times I actually need one are so far between it's never worth it and can ussually get to what ever I'm after somehow.

Well my soffit got pulled dow on this last ice storm we are recovering from, I live in a basement home so my roof is only 2' off teh ground in the rear, well this was on the side so was about 8' I oculd almost touch it with my finger tips. So I stood on a bucket and put it up, Just as I was sliding the last piece into place the bucket tipped and dumped me on the grouond. Now my back hurts..... So enough of this crap I'm getting a ladder cause I still have to replace a facia board and facia! I'm not standing on a bucket with a skil saw to replace the facia board!

Well, I would hope you wouldn't use a bucket & Skill Saw for that.....

Home Depot, Lowes, where ever. Once you have a good ladder, you'll never have to worry again. Unless some drunk guy that BREW knows steals it.

I feel ya, every time I need to hop on the roof, my neighbor has an extension ladder. But I would love having a 8 footer of my own.

Thanks!

Maybe I should invest in one of those, I hear they really are as strong as the infomercial says and would be useful in the house as well. How tall are they?

they have different sizes....I think homer depot sells them. One thing about those multiladders, and I know you're just gonna be using it for the home, but they are freaking heavy (compared to a regular step or extension ladder) .

Be careful on the extension ladders too. My father-in-law fell off his hanging Christmas lights one year, landed on his foot in the flowerbed and his ankle broke, both bones, a compound fracture complete with mud in his open wound and packed in the bone. He almost had to have his foot amputated due to severity of breakage and infection, but it heeled with the two halo contraption the doctors used, but he is ok now, slight limp. He was off work for about a year recovering from the ladder mishap. No more ladders for him anymore.
