Darn Euro Tail lights
Darn Euro Tail lights
I almost rear ended some tard with Euro tails this morning..
This has happened quite a few time here lately. The brake lights are hardly visable during the day light. And the reverse lights.. Ive yet to see a set of Euros with WORKING reverse lights. Going through parking lots and a car just rolls out in front of you..
I'm fed up with them. I think they should be illigal if they're not bright enough.
I'm a very careful driver.. never been in an accident (knock on wood), but that crap drives me insane.
Anyone else have a similar experience with almost eating Euro tails for breakfast?

I've seen some truck that they look *decent* on, but the light output is terrible. Hard to tell if the person if braking or not.. especially when driving west in the mornings. Or anytime the sun is shining from behind you.

Indeed they do...
This is the result of following too closely.
While I'm sure that will be denied, I'd bet that's the real reason.
My MDX came from the factory with euro styled taillights, but, the "white" part all turns red when teh brakes are hit...
If someone can't see my brake lights, they are color blind...
I can't imagine those aftermarket units would be legal if they didn't meet or exceed factory specs or meet DOT regulations.
PS- I never liked the look on the trucks though... I've seen a few people do it.
Here's the deal... When I'm trying to change radio station, talk on the cell phone, eat breakfast, and put on make-up (cause I'm metro)...I don't have time to try and figure out if the jerk-off in front of me is actually hitting his brakes or if it's just the sun reflecting off all that plastic chrome.
