Just saying hi!

Hey everyone, I'M ALIVE! hahahah Next week is my last week of my sabbatical and then back to the grind. I'm actually WAAAYYYYYY ready to go back to work. Stay-at-home-mom is not my gig.

So I guess in a couple of weeks I should be back visiting y'all while "working". hahahaha

I miss you guys!

Here's a pic I just took about an hour ago. Big brother had his first baseball practice today. Apparently we need to work on our listening and throwing skills.

Right now I completely understand, I'm ready for these winter storms to be over and to get my power back on.

nope running on a generator.... It's a small one so I have down sized everything, 1- 40 watt light bulb in each room, only run the laptop and dsl modem, refridgerator, 19" tv and satelite reciver, cordless telephone, and a couple of heaters at night or as needed. I can shut everything off and run the washing machin but cant run the dryer or the water heater. We have been cooking on gorge forman, the sandwhich maker, the fireplace or the bar b q grill or going out to eat.......
I am sooooo ready to have power and beable to take a shower in my own shower, dry laundry in my dryer, and cook on the stove again, maybe have wife bake me something........ This going some where for these is a PIA.

Yea it was the same for me, power went out saturday morning, I didnt get the genny til late thursday. There were some to buy people were going to Arkansas and getting as many as they could haul then selling them in the supermarkets parking lots, but they wanted $750 for the same size I paid $327 including tax for. It's just a small one, 2500 watts but it's getting us by. this happens about once every 20 years, soon as the tree limps grow back out we'll have another one 20 years from now...... By that time we'll have a new house built and I had already planned on putting in a propane powered 17 kilowatt back up genny.
