Thumbs up T-shirts to support the troops. . .

I don't know if any of y'all are interested in this but I think it's kind of a neat way to support the troops: Takepride.com. There are nine Take Pride T-shirt designs that are based on the stories of active-duty troops. The website gives details about the soldiers behind the shirts and 20% of the profits go to charities for combat veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan.

You night owls get forgotten....

I like the idea of supporting the troops but wearing those shirts aren't my style.

I've given to http://www.operationac.com/ to help in my own way.

WMR, thanks for posting that link. BelayOn (aka SWMBO) got two of their shirts for me for Xmas...one of the best presents I've received.

The "Me and My M16" shirt was a big hit at the range last week when we requalified...

I only wear Tshirts at the gym and xxl ain't gonna cut it. Now it there are some 4x Tshirts or 3x tank tops I'll buy!

Very bad day for our troops in Iraq today with 20 killed.

I believe in supporting the troops and the job they are doing. I would like to get one of each, but like others, not my style. Not to mention, wearing something like that in some of the ultra liberal places I go around here might get me into a confrontation. Some people can be that ignorant, and see what they want to see.

Thanks. I'm glad I saw that.

I guess I'd have to ask why I wanted to support some "ultra liberal place"...

But if you want to let them win by deciding for you what you can wear, I won't criticize you. You have enough other problems. It appears you only want people to think you support the troops.

I do not believe this war is just or necessary, however, the troops are not asked their opinion or where, or in what capacity, they are to serve.
Therefore they have my respect regardless of my beliefs about the conflict in general.

God bless them and to hell with the war profiteers and corrupt politicians.

It is also supporting the troops if you feel the war is a waste and want to bring them home and out of that hell hole before more of them die.

I could never understand the people who spit on our soldiers when they returned from Vietnam. I still find it a disgusting aspect of that conflict.
Those people that spit on the troops should have had their *** kicked.
