Icy road bumper cars.
I was trying to pull a new avalanche out of the snow in Yosemite, uphill. I started sliding downhill uncontrollably but I kept releasing the brake and easing on it very lightly instead of panicking at full lock. ABS sucks in conditions like that so be careful how hard you press. I nearly hit him but was able to stop and gtfo of there. I was on stock tires, even on mud grapplers I can't do chit against ice need studded tires or chains, even chains don't do so great on ice.
I know that feeling all to well, After our ice storm and we lost power saturday (for thos not reading teh Hi PSS-MAG thread... still not on) I went to my parents who have power to shower and do some laundry. Got ran off teh road once and havd to be pulled out no damage... Then got to my dads driveway and made it 1/2 way up and lost traction. Tires were spinning and I wasnt going forward, so let up and stepped on the brake. Truck slid all the way down the drive and back out into the road. My ABS is faulted so all 4 tires were locked up and still sliding only leting off the brake to attempt to steer it. Once it came to a stop stuck it in park to go get dads tractor and pulled us up to the house. When I let off the brake, there was not enough traction on the rear tires to hold it and we went sliding again with the transmissin in park..... this is not good....... so pushed the brake pedal and stuck it in neutral and stood on the brakes again till it finnally came to a stop a few yards more. 1oo yards from where we first started sliding.......
