Does anybody here snowplow witht their F-150?
I've thought many times about buying one of those "Snow Bear" plows just to do my driveway, I just don't have the heart to do it.
The last 2 years I've paid a guy a flat rate each winter to plow, sand/salt the driveway, and it's worked out pretty well.
If I factor in the $400 a season I pay this guy, it still seems like a good deal compared to the expense of
1) buying the plow
2) paying for additional repairs and extra wear and tear on the truck
3) doing the work myself
4) and you just know that when you have a plow, your friends and neighbors are gonna bug you.
If it was just a regular size driveway in the burbs, I'd shovel it myself, or buy a small snow thrower, but 8,800 square feet of driveway and parking area is more than I'm willing to do.
When my truck gets old and crappy, I'll prob buy a plow for it, but until then I'll just keep paying Art to look after it.
