The Dem's are faced with a real dilemma in '08 -- do they go with the acidic (and some will argue, unelectable) Billary, or do they go with the gregarious, likeable, but OH SO UNQUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT Obama......???

In my opinion, Obama is way too "green" to even be considered as Presidential material.....

While Obama might be green around the ears, I think that that is what we need right now in this country. Someone that hasn't been in politics forever. He's a smart enough man to know he doesn't know everything he needs to know, so he'll surround himself with people that do. Also, if he were to be elected in '08, from the time the elections over until he's sworn in in January '09, he'll be in full-time "President School", for lack of a better term. Constant meetings with everyone that will bring him up to speed on what is going on in the nation.

Me, personally, I see the Dems '08 ticket as either Obama/Edwards or Edwards/Obama.

No kidding. His name alone will basically guarantee he won't win.

From what I have seen, I think America is still way too screwed up racially to elect a black President.
You only got rid of official apartheid 40 odd years ago.
You could put the most qualified black person ever up against Cletus the slack jawed yokel and Cletus would probably win. Sad but true.

I'd like to be proven wrong but IMO, the only time you will see a black President is either in Hollywood or if the nominations are Obama vs Condi.

First off, I can't belive how ignorant some of you are. Obama is Christian. And a name should never be what you base your decision on, if it is, you are just displaying how out of touch you truely are with reality. Green or not, his candid personality and integrity is what our country needs right now.

Exactly Bill. If someone would have taken about 30 seconds to read his website, they'd see that his father was Kenyan. THAT is where his name comes from. Based on the few responses mentioning Sen. Obama's religion (wrongly), it is clear to me now why this country is in the state it is in. Herd mentality, with no ideas based on real fact.

Obama is anything but middle of the road. He may talk about being a centrist, but his voting record is not. I think he has a 98% liberal voting record. You should hear some of the speaches that don't get televised. The media is more then happy to make leftists appear centrist.

sorry, but anybody from the communist state of illinois would have a hard time getting my vote. (most of the state is fine, but Chicago just drags them down)

If Obama wins the Democratic primaries it will be the best thing to happen to Republicans in years.

I think everyone knows the answer without coming out and saying it.
We really only have one real choice. You know what it is.
There isn't a viable neo-con on the horizon.

We must repeal the 22nd Amendment and we have less than two years to get it done.

Boy! This blew me away! You finally make a political statement that makes sense!

Hey, where you been?
